MULTICAST TECHNOLOGY

TV and radio multicast channels are provided along to subscribers in our DOCSIS 3.1 network.  Data speed, within service area is consistent right to the edge of the service area. This feature facilitates the delivery of simultaneous multicast services to all subscribers, who may view or listen to content on computers, laptops, TVs, or through IP set-top boxes. 

 

Video or audio is captured from an external source (e.g., satellite, internet TV, radio station, event live broadcast, or fiber service) then compresses to H.264 format to reduce the bandwidth. 

 

With the DVB-T2 multicast, we can have an unlimited number of receivers. Subscribers may choose to receive multiple video programs at high definition quality, or even more programs in standard quality.
